Stata Lunch and Learn: Basic Descriptive and Inferential Statistics

In this talk, Chuck Huber, Ph.D. - Director of Statistical Outreach at StataCorp - will demonstrate how to calculate basic descriptive statistics such as means, standard deviations, tables of frequencies and percentages, and basic graphical summaries such as histograms, bar charts, and pie charts. He will also show how to calculate basic inferential statistics such as t-tests, chi-squared tests, Fisher's exact test, and measures of effect size such as Cohen's d, Hedges's g, and Glass's delta.
