Thomas Langford, Ph.D.

Senior Computational Research Support Analyst

Tom is a Senior Computation Research Support Analyst at the YCRC.  He focuses on supporting FAS researchers, primarily on Grace and Milgram. His computational expertise includes Python, tightly coupled parallel workflows (MPI), and high-throughput computing.

Prior to his appointment at the YCRC, he worked as an Associate Research Scientist in the Wright Laboratory on various particle and nuclear physics experiments, most notably the reactor neutrino experiment PROSPECT. He earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of Maryland in 2013.
