HPC Network
Monday, March 20, 2017 - 10:40amThe HPC network is currently experiencing performance issues which may prevent user connections to the clusters.
YCRC staff are currently working on resolving these issues and updates will be posted here.

Milgram is under scheduled maintenance, expected to be completed on Wednesday 3/8 at 5pm.

Omega is available for general use

Ruddle, Omega, Grace, Milgram, Farnam
Saturday, December 10, 2016 - 7:35pmScheduled power utility maintenance has begun at the West Campus Data Center.
Maintenance is scheduled to end on December 12th at 5pm.
During this time, Ruddle, Grace, Omega, Milgram and Farnam logins will be disabled.

Ruddle Login Node
Wednesday, December 7, 2016 - 10:46amOne of Ruddle’s two login nodes was rebooted to solve a performance problem this morning. This may have impacted logins for some users.

5-Day Maintenance for Omega 9/12 - 9/17
Monday, August 29, 2016 - 6:00pmA 5-day maintenance window is scheduled for the Omega Cluster, which includes both the Geology and Geophysics (GEO) and High Energy Physics (HEP) clusters. Maintenance will begin starting at 8 am on Monday, September 12. During this maintenance period, Omega storage and the data transfer node will be unavailable.
We are expecting all systems to be available for use again by the morning of Saturday, September 17. Please visit this page for the latest updates.

Louise compute nodes being rebooted
Thursday, August 11, 2016 - 12:00amThis morning, many of the Louise compute nodes became unresponsive and needed to be rebooted. We are in the process of bringing them back online. Jobs on those nodes were lost. You may experience delays in getting allocations until all of the nodes are back on-line.

Grace and Ruddle Clusters Back in Service
Saturday, August 6, 2016 - 2:30pmThe Grace and Ruddle clusters are now fully back in service. The vendor remains on site and is continuing to examine the issues to understand the cause. Updates, as necessary, will be posted here.

Omega Maintenance Postponed
Saturday, August 6, 2016 - 2:00pmScheduled maintenance for the Omega Cluster which was to start on August 8, 2016, has been postponed until later this fall. Omega includes both the Geology and Geophysics (GEO) and High Energy Physics (HEP) clusters

UPDATE: Power Disruption at West Campus and Impact on Clusters
Tuesday, July 26, 2016 - 3:30pmAs described, a brief power disruption brought down several nodes on Omega and a handful of nodes on Grace at approximately 12:30 pm on July 26th. All nodes on all clusters have been brought back into service and all clusters are stable.
We are encouraging all users of all clusters to check jobs running at any point today (7/26/2016).
