  • Omega Performance

    Wednesday, April 12th 2017 - Omega is experiencing intermittent performance problems that may affect user logins. YCRC staff are currently working on resolving this issue. 

  • Omega Logins

    Sunday, April 9, 2017 - 9:00am

    Omega logins may be unavailable due to degraded storage performance on the cluster. YCRC staff are currently working on resolving this issue.

  • Farnam Network Problem

    Farnam is experiencing network issues that are causing difficulties accessing the cluster, and some jobs have died. We are investigating.

  • Grace Scheduled Maintenance

    Hardware and software maintenance will be performed on the GPFS storage used by Grace and Grace-next, beginning Monday, March 27th.

    The maintenance is expected to be complete by the end of day, Thursday, March 30th. During this time, logins will be disabled, and Grace's storage will not be accessible from any cluster.

  • HPC Network

    Monday, March 20, 2017 - 10:40am

    The HPC network is currently experiencing performance issues which may prevent user connections to the clusters. 

    YCRC staff are currently working on resolving these issues and updates will be posted here.

  • Milgram Maintenance

    Milgram is under scheduled maintenance, expected to be completed on Wednesday 3/8 at 5pm.

  • Omega is available for general use

    Sunday, December 25, 2016 - 7:00pm

    Omega is available for general use and users should check their output if they had any jobs running.

  • Ruddle, Omega, Grace, Milgram, Farnam

    Saturday, December 10, 2016 - 7:35pm

    Scheduled power utility maintenance has begun at the West Campus Data Center.

    Maintenance is scheduled to end on December 12th at 5pm. 

    During this time, Ruddle, Grace, Omega, Milgram and Farnam logins will be disabled.

  • Ruddle Login Node

    Wednesday, December 7, 2016 - 10:46am

    One of Ruddle’s two login nodes was rebooted to solve a performance problem this morning. This may have impacted logins for some users. 

  • 5-Day Maintenance for Omega 9/12 - 9/17

    Monday, August 29, 2016 - 6:00pm

    A 5-day maintenance window is scheduled for the Omega Cluster, which includes both the Geology and Geophysics (GEO) and High Energy Physics (HEP) clusters.  Maintenance will begin starting at 8 am on Monday, September 12. During this maintenance period, Omega storage and the data transfer node will be unavailable. 

     

    We are expecting all systems to be available for use again by the morning of Saturday, September 17.  Please visit this page for the latest updates.
