The YCRC has partnered with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team to provide training on essential Amazon Web Services for Research Computing. Will St. Clair and Nick Ragusa, senior solutions architects from AWS, will lead a one-day training class. Training wil be held in the YCRC auditorium and will focus on instruction during the morning session and hands on learning in the afternoon.
This workshop is a 5 day immersion experience opening new horizons on the use of the vast potentials of the Linux environment and the command line approach to process data. We will guide newbies who have never used a command line terminal to a stage which will allow them to understand and use very advanced open source data processing routines.
XSEDE along with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications are pleased to announce a two-day MPI workshop, to be held September 7-8, 2016.
This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to MPI programming. Both days are compact, to accommodate multiple time zones, but packed with useful information and lab exercises. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using MPI – the standard programming tool of scalable parallel computing.
