Thomas Langford, Ph.D.

Tom is a Senior Computation Research Support Analyst at the YCRC.  He focuses on supporting FAS researchers, primarily on Grace and Milgram. His computational expertise includes Python, tightly-coupled parallel workflows (MPI), and high-throughput computing.

Prior to his appointment at the YCRC, he worked as a Associate Research Scientist in the Wright Laboratory on a variety of particle and nuclear physics experiments, most notably the reactor neutrino experiment PROSPECT. He earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of Maryland in 2013.
