Kiran Keshav

Kiran Keshav is the Executive Director of the Yale Center for Research Computing and the Senior Director of Research Technologies at Yale University.
In this role, Kiran is helping establish the Yale Center for Research Computing, which will advance research excellence throughout the University by providing a home for computationally and data intensive research across a panoply of disciplines, including the sciences, medicine, social sciences, digital humanities, and engineering. Kiran reports to the Vice Provost for Research.
In parallel, Kiran reports to the Chief Information Officer, and works with faculty and researchers across the University to advance Yale’s research mission through the application of digital technologies. Kiran leads the development and delivery of state-of-the-art research support throughout the Yale campus in three key areas: High Performance Computing, Specialized Data Management, and Research Services.
Prior to coming to Yale, Kiran served as Chief Technology Officer & Vice President of Technology at Betterment in New York City, and for three years was the Manager of the Development Group at the Columbia University Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, where he oversaw a team of software engineers and managed the development of informatics tools for a number of national organizations, including the National Cancer Institute.
Kiran is an alumnus of Queen’s University in Canada, and Columbia University.
