Andrew Sherman, Ph.D.

Dr. Andrew Sherman, a Research Scientist in Computer Science, has a background in numerical analysis, scientific computation, and computer science. He has extensive experience with HPC algorithms and software in both academic and commercial environments, including applications in the physical and life sciences, several engineering disciplines, and financial services. Dr. Sherman manages the high performance computing clusters for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. In addition to providing training, consultation, programming support, and debugging assistance for user applications, Dr. Sherman manages the installation and availability of a variety of HPC software applications, libraries, and tools. Dr. Sherman holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale University.
