Ben supports high performance computing on clusters for the Biological & Biomedical Sciences and the Yale Center for Genome Analysis. In addition to providing training, consultation, programming support, and debugging assistance for user applications, he manages the installation and availability of a variety of HPC software applications, libraries, and tools. Ben received his PhD from the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at Yale in 2016. Jeffrey Powell advised his thesis work, which was on population genomics in the dengue and yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegytpi.
