The YCRC and Google invite you to attend a one day workshop on using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for research. This day long event will cover the capabilities of Google's Cloud, as well as these other topics:

Foundations of GCP:

  • Building high-performance, scalable VM environments with Google Compute Engine
  • Google Cloud Storage
  • Preparing, analyzing and Visualizing Data with Cloud Data Lab

Data in GCP:

  • Analyzing Big Data in Google BigQuery
  • Big Data Ingest (DataPrep/PubSub/DataFlow)

Machine Learning/TensorFlow:

  • Adding Machine Learning to your Applications
  • Deploying TensorFlow Models

Each of the three sessions includes approx. 30 minutes of hands-on codelabs. Users are asked to use a non-Yale email account for codelabs to avoid administrative management of instance creation.
